Jackalsong can be quite the difficult she-cat to get close to. She has a quick temper, and while she does enjoy younger kits, she can’t stand irritating apprentices and most other warriors. She can have a bit of trouble with authority, and while she does fiercely serve her Clan, she doesn’t like being ordered around because she can figure it out on her own, thank you very much. She tends to be stubborn as well, so if she thinks that she has a better idea to help provide for the Clan, she won’t easily back down.
Naturally, she doesn’t tend to work well with other cats, especially toms (who tend to be a bit more demanding than other she-cats). She will always be grumpy on a patrol, just one wrong word able to make her snap.

While she does tend to be quite the negative feline, she is a fierce warrior and would do anything for her Clan, which tends to gain her some reluctant respect from others. As long as you watch what you do and say around her, you’ll avoid her bad side and gain an incredibly loyal Clanmate.

Jackalsong was apart of a normal litter of three with her two siblings, Snakekit and Stonekit. Jackalkit grew up quickly alongside her siblings. She wasn't as bouncy or playful as the other kits, though showed promise to be a great warrior even at a young age.

As an apprentice, Jackalpaw became the apprentice of Whisperfang, a soft-spoken warrior who had wanted to train one more apprentice before retiring to the elder's den. Jackalpaw had a smooth apprenticeship, learning quickly. She proved to be most at home in the water, catching fish easily. She formed a friendship with the older cat, and even today visits her mentor in the elder's den.

Jackalpaw received her warrior name with her brothers, the three becoming Jackalsong, Snakefang, and Stoneleap. The three were thrilled, even Jackalsong unable to stay calm about becoming a warrior. The siblings immediately began to serve their Clan well, hunting prey and fighting whenever WaterClan needed them.
One day, Stoneleap had been hunting and had been chasing a vole. He slipped, tumbling into a deep section of the lake. He was a large cat and, despite his WaterClan blood, had never been a good swimmer. He drowned in the water, his body washing up on the shore near the Clan. Jackalsong and Snakefang were shocked, and Jackalsong became even tougher and harder to get close to.
The rest of her months as a warrior have gone well despite the tragedy that had occurred only a few weeks after her warrior ceremony. She continues to serve her Clan, choosing her life as a warrior over the concerns of finding a mate and having kits.
