A bright and outgoing she-cat, Eaglestar maintains strong bonds with most of her clanmates, making it her mission to know each of them personally. Though friendly, she knows when to keep her distance and when to keep her nose out of other cats business. In front of the other leaders she is calm and collected, though her bright personality sometimes shines through when she speaks of her accomplishments and her clanmates.

overall history,
Born to two full-blood Airclan warriors, Eaglestar was named when her father spotted an eagle soaring through the branches of the trees overhead just as she was born. Her brother Bluefoot was named for his silvery-grey pelt, reminiscent of his sire’s, and was born a few moments after, though the third unnamed kit did not survive. The two were inseparable, escaping the nursery a few times to scamper around the camp and ‘attack’ the warriors, and occasionally the deputy and the leader when they could find him.
One day they managed to get a bit further out than normal, and out of pure luck somehow made it a bit further into the forest. Their luck ran out however when they were in the wrong place at the wrong time and a dead branch that had been stuck high up in the trees finally gave way and tumbled down toward the two kits.
Hearing the commotion, Duskbreeze quickly headed toward the noise and was distraught to find that his young daughter had been trapped under the large log – by her tail. It had been broken in several places and the small orange ball of fur was screeching with pain. Duskbreeze, not bothering to scold Bluekit – by this point he had been scared stiff anyway – he sent his son back to fetch the medicine cat, who decided that the only way she would come out from under the wood would be to remove the part that was stuck. It wasn’t too hard, considering she was still growing and the medicine cat was certain she would heal quickly, and with a quick snap and a bite and some blood, the feathery orange tail was pulled loose.
As predicted, she healed quickly without any infections, and even the scarring went away with time, but she never ventured far from the nursery after that, and she and Bluekit became far less adventurous than they had been.
As an apprentice, she wasn’t overly skilled in fighting, but her quick wit and powerful hind legs made her an excellent hunter, earning her the title ‘Eagleleap’ when she became a warrior, her brother earning ‘Bluefoot’ due to his quick footwork and speed.
She quickly became one of the more popular warriors in her clan, her outgoing and strong personality catching the attention of many cats, and many suitors... though her eyes were on someone else. A pretty calico she-cat named Paleface. Unable to express her feelings properly, the two became something of rivals, but best friends at the same time, challenging each other and becoming better warriors because of it.
At some point however Paleface took a mate, leaving Eagleleap to mourn the loss of her chances of loving the pretty she-cat. She tried to take it in stride, and managed for the most point, though she’s never really looked at anyone the same since, and gets a little odd if you bring it up.
She was appointed to be deputy during this time, and honestly was a bit of a disappointment to begin with – or at least to the paranoid cat who then ran the clan. She always thought it was best to stop the kit stealing and pushing into other territories, but with Snowstar as the leader the warriors who trusted him more outnumbered the ones who wanted to do as she said instead.
After a successful kit stealing raid on Earthclan, Eagleleap had had enough. She called the clan to a meeting without Snowstar, and explained the way the old leader was starting to descend into madness, just as Russetstar had before him, and that this was no way for a clan to behave. Most agreed, and those who didn’t quickly changed their minds when Snowstar demanded they have the foreign kits killed, calling them ‘competition’. He was quickly demoted and placed under strict watch in the elders den until he finally lost enough lives to sicknesses to only have one left.
Immediately after being named leader she personally returned the kits to Earthclan and announced that she was the new leader, and that these ‘raids’ were to stop immediately.
So far she has kept her word.
