Apprentice
apprentice
The Character
Name: Silentpaw Age: Fourteen moons Gender: Female Basic personality: Silentpaw is quiet, yet firm in her decisions. The she-cat has never been on to anger easily, though she has been found to have quite the sharp tongue. The young female isn't afraid to speak her mind or snap at another cat, whether they be an apprentice or warrior. Despite her morbid past, Silentpaw has always been an optimistic specimen, witty, with a strong sense of humor. Basic appearance: The she-cat is lithe and agile, seemingly built to be a warrior's apprentice, though she was lead in a completely different direction. Her fur is a pale, nearly translucent color of dove-grey, with white undertones as well as sleek silver tabby markings from head to toe. Smaller than the average she-cat her age, it's quite obvious upon first glance that Silentpaw lacks any real strength, though she makes up for this with speed. Her eyes are a brilliant shade of blue, that glimmer with fiery passion one moment, and flicker to cold calculation in the next. Other: Nope
The Player
Activity level: I'm generally online on my mobile device to post and what-not, though I should be getting wifi at my personal home around February Role-play sample: give in. Cornered, the tiny she-cat whip-lashed around, but it was to little to late. The beast loomed over her, arching back before thrusting its head forwards for the kill, but something went wrong. The blow never came, and the she-cat opened her clenched eyes to see her mentor grasped in the jowls of a monster. "No!" __________________________________________________________________________ The female jerked in her sleep, eyes snapping open. Her heart was thudding in her chest, leaving her to feel like a mouse about to be pounced upon with no way to escape. Dragging in deep, precious air into her burning lungs. Once again, she'd had the dream, though this time the clarity had been far too real. A shudder shimmied down her petite body, working its way down her spine like ice-capped claws. Blinking once then twice as her eyes cleared and focused, the small dove-grey she-cat couldn't help but wonder why the nightmares wouldn't cease. Then again, it had been a traumatic experience for her, as well as the first time that she had made any sound since birth. With a sigh, she pushed herself to her paws, sharp blue eyes filtering whatever sunlight happened to be in the darkness of the den. Tiptoeing past her mentor, the young apprentice pushed out of the medicine cat den, taking quick note of the darkened sky. Predicting that the sun wouldn't touch the sky for a while yet, Silentpaw padded to the entrance of the camp, nodding absentmindedly to the sentry before she disappeared into the forest. Walking along at a rather content pace, she wove between the tree's jumping over a tree root here, or clamoring across a fallen log there. Now at peace, Silentpaw had firmly shoved thoughts of what had happened that day from her mind. After all, it wasn't like she could bring cats back from Starclan. All she could do was save them if possible, or make it as painless as possible when they went to hunt with the warrior ancestors. In truth, she supposed that was why she had turned her back on the life of a warrior's apprentice after the death of her mentor and friend. Silentpaw hadn't been able to stomach what had been done to them, she hadn't been able to live with the fact that she should have died too, and those thoughts had pushed her firmly on the path of a medicine cat. She didn't mind it at all, though, in fact she loved helping her clan-mates, and found that she had quite the knack for remembering herbs. A small smile flitted over the she-cat's serene features, making her face seem softer and younger those her eyes told another story. Through her eyes, one could often see the fatigue, the sadness and helplessness when a cat died at her paws. And yet, she wouldn't have wanted to live life any other way. As a warrior, she would be forced to fight, to injure others and even kill them if she had no choice. Silentpaw could live with the reality that she couldn't save every cat in her care, but the female would have never been able to forgive herself if she intentionally killed another cat. A small sigh escaped her, the breath whisked away by a light breeze as she delved deeper and deeper into Airclan territory. Soon, the sound of rushing water came to her, and the pale-furred she-cat paused to listen for just a moment before continuing once more. Dainty white paws brought the she-cat closer and closer to the water, and though she very-well knew she could get into a bit of trouble if she got too close to the other clan's territory, she frankly didn't care at the moment. Besides, it wasn't as though a patrol would be out and about in the dead of night, right? With these thoughts strongly in mind, Silentpaw squared her shoulders, head high as she padded from the forest's embrace. The she-cat padded close to the water's edge, arching over it slightly to view the appearance that the surface reflected back to her. A sharp, pointed face, rounded blue eyes that stood out in stark contrast to pure white fur that was marked with silver tabby stripes. Many said that the she-cat was "beautiful" but she failed to see why, she looked like any other cat, though she was admittedly smaller than her other clan members. With a grunt, Silentpaw's dainty white fore-paw slashed through the water, her claws sending droplets soaring through the air before they plummeted with little plunks back into the main body. As the water shimmered back into place, the surface once more retaining its placid state, Silentpaw couldn't help but peer into the shadowy depths again. This time, the she-cat's vision blurred as her eyes focused not upon herself, but upon the starry sky that the water reflected above her. The moon hung there, round and full, casting light onto the water, and as she followed the path of the moons light, Silentpaw noticed the stars for the first time, stretching endlessly across the sky. There truly was no end to their beauty, wherever she went, the stars would follow. With that singly thought resonating through her entire being, Silentpaw turned away from the water, casting one last, lingering look over her shoulder before the pale white she-cat disappeared back into the forests' embrace.[/ul][/blockquote]

My apologies, Koi. Spider has been very busy as of late and really hasn't been able to do much on the site. The next time I catch her on, I'll let her know of this audition. I am very certain that she will greatly accept this character. Thank you for your patience.
