Adderthorn let out a gentle huff as he opened his green eyes. The confusing haze between sleep and awareness hung over him. Grunting, he attempted to fight it as the medicine cat pushed himself to his paws. After a loud yawn, the tan tom blinked up at the sky, only to wince at the sight of the sun. It seemed just past sunhigh. He'd fallen asleep in a patch of warm sun. Grimacing, he rolled his shoulders, trying to get some feeling back in himself.
Heaving a sigh, Adderthorn glanced around camp. His stomach growled, but he didn't have much of an appetite. Oh, StarClan, he groaned to himself. The usually gentle breeze that flew through his den had apparently been a strong one this time. His organized herb piles were a mess. Maybe he could pull a warrior away to help him really quick. And, truthfully, he could use some company. Adderthorn sat back on his hind legs, waiting for his unsuspected victim to pass by.

Goldennight walked into camp from patrolling the borders and right now all she wanted to do was relax. The young she-cat walked past the fresh kill pile without even looking at it she rarely had an appetite, but she hadn't even really had a big appetite to begin with. She sat down and began to groom her fur until it was glossy. The young she-cat didn't even notice the medicine cat sitting at the mouth of his den. Once she was done grooming her fur she stretched out and gazed up the sky frowning and let out a sigh. She wished that their were more warriors around her age that could be her friends. She still had yet to notice the medicine cat to wound up in her own thoughts.

The medicine cat worked his paws into the ground. He really shouldn't leave his stock like this. . . it looked awful and the unorganization of it all bothered him greatly. He honestly didn't want to take resting time away from a warrior, but if he did this on his own, it would take forever. And, he supposes, he could get rid of all the growing-old herbs.
And so he felt a little guilty when he saw a small group of warriors returning from their sunhigh patrol. Tipping his head to the side, he picked out the young she-cat Goldennight. She looked tired, also, but the rest of the cats had already spread out. Adderthorn sighed, puffed out his chest, and put on his megawatt smile. It was his charmer. Perhaps after a conversation with his clanmate, she'd be more open to helping him.
Tan paws padded across the earth as the tom quietly walked up to the tortoiseshell. Flopping onto his belly next to her, he let out a small "hey". Flicking an ear, his piercing green gaze followed hers up to the sky. After searching the empty sea of blue for a few moments, he returned his gaze to Goldennight. "How are you today, hm? Probably hungry; you should eat something, Goldennight."
