Ashtail shyly sat near the Warriors den, but strangely away from the entrance. There was nothing to do, since the clan seemed fine and the Medicine Cat did not need any help at the moment. Everything seemed fine, but there was absolutely nothing to do... This was her life sadly. Ashtail was the cat in the corner of the camp that rarely talked to anyone, nor even tried. She wanted to, believe it, she really wanted to. Sadly, she had no courage to do so. She let out a sigh, how did I end up like this?Honestly, it just ended like this. She blames her mother, Blazefeather for giving birth to her in the first place. No, that wasn't a reason to blame. She should be thankful to be here and not starving in the wild. Another sigh came as her gaze glanced at the camp. Cats seemed happy.. That was good enough for her.

WhiteTalon trotted over to the fresh-kill pile, dropping her collection of three mice and a lizard. It had been a great hunt. So much prey was running about near the stream, the only bad thing was all the mud. Black, sloppy mud that stuck to anything it touched like sap to a leaf. On her elegant white fur, it stood out like a drop of blood on snow. Except, it wasn't just a drop, but a matted bunch of black-ish brown all over her legs and underfur.
"Ugh, I hate mud.. Why me", she hissed as she neared the warriors' den. She began to groom her long, snow white pelt, grumbling about how unsightly she must seem. So consumed in her grooming was she that she didn't notice the gray form just off to her right. She flicked a mud plastered paw as if the motion would help with her situation. It only worsened it by flinging mud everywhere.

Ashtail watched as one of her clan-mates, Whitetalon coming back. She has brought quite allot of prey, which of course was good for the clan.. She could tell that Whitetalon was not so happy. Bad luck of white cats. Mud tends to attract towards them, and it is harder to maintain white fur. She felt bad as she watched her try to get the mud off, but only making it worse. A drop of mud splattered at her white chest, and she simply pawed it off, only a speck so it was quite easy. Ashtail stared at her for a moment, "You could try a quick swim.." She muttered, looking down uneasy, she normally doesn't speak with cats, but it was nice to help cats.

At the sound of a soft voice, the white she-cat jumped. Her long fur stood on end, making her seem so much larger than she really was. Whipping her head around, she finally noticed the quaint gray she-cat.
"Oh my StarClan, I had no idea you were back there. What are you doing here all alone", she mewed in her sweet voice, padding over to sit next to AshTail. Though, she quickly lost her kind demeanor as the mud spread across her flank. "I really do hate all this mud! I just can't stand it. And to think I had already groomed my fur twice today." She rolled her pale eyes, and looked back to the other she-cat with a quick smile.

"I'm always sitting her alone.." She whispered, still staring down at the ground. Her eyes wondered back onto Whiteclaw, flashing a slight smile, she quickly stopped and continued to avoid eye contact. At least she isn't a tom.. Ashtail thought in relief, no idea what would of happened if she was a tom! Her tail gently folded onto her paws, "My fur is dark and light.. So it doesn't need as much grooming as your pelt does.." She muttered, shrugging a tad.

"Now, what would such a cute she-cat like you be doing here alone? And your pelt is just gorgeous! Nice and soft, it looks like you put a lot of time and effort into making it so...", WhiteTalon paused, searching for the right word, "Pretty! Yes, pretty."
For a moment, stuck in her ramblings, the white she-cat had forgotten about her mud slathered coat as she sat next to the gray AshTail. "What do you do during the day? Do you like hunting? I rather enjoy hunting. It makes me feel so good inside and all. I just hate getting dirty."

The young gray she-cat flushed rapidly, "No, no.. I'm not pretty or cute.. Your more pretty than me." She said, shaking her head a little, "I don't take as much time as grooming.. But it helps to be clean when I run.." She softly added, looking up at the white she-cat. Ashtail rarely notices how beautiful or handsome cats were, since she usually tries to avoid looking. But this cat was indeed beautiful, besides the mud on her fur. No one really asked what she did.. That was a question hard to answer, what was she suppose to say? Normally Ashtail just sits in the corner, looking at cats.. Seeing if anyone needed any help, "I... Sometimes like to help cats." She muttered, not really sure on what to say. Her ears perked as soon as the word 'hunting' appeared. Her green gaze stared directly at the Whitetalon, "Yes, I do enjoy hunting very much.. I can't fight very well, but I love to feel the wind in my pelt as I run." She said cheerfully, totally forgetting her usual quiet personality, "It is a pain to get the mud and dirt out.. But it's worth feeling the wind."

Another day, another day. More things to do with the Clan, for the Clan, with others in the Clan. Every day was like that, just about. Usually. The leaves of the warrior's den were shining brightly with the sun upon them that came through the cracks. But...that one leaf seemed just a tad out of place of the others. It looked awefully lonely.
Rosehaze's thoughts often went like that from day to day in his life in FireClan, always in his own world, detatched from others. He was sitting in his nest of moss, which he had made against one of the walls of the den that he slept in with his fellow warriors. The tortoishell tom had noticed that one of the leaves that made up the den seemed a slight bit out of place, so he lifted his paw and pushed it in--there! It looked much better now. The tom smiled to himself in a cute fashion, as if he were a kit that just conquered to climb up the belly of its mother.
The young tom rose to his paws and his back arched in a long stretch, the tip of his tail curling into a hook over his back. After a few heartbeats he relaxed and swished his tail from side to side as his gaze roamed over the den. But a sudden urge overcame him and told him to go outside. So Rosehaze went along with that urge and padded outside of the shade of the warrior's den and into the sunlight of camp. His ears twitched as he looked about, idley wondering for a moment whom was up before thinking about how lovely a day it was that day.

Flicking the gray she-cat with her white, bushy tail, WhiteTalon snorted. "Oh course you are beautiful! What makes a she-cat? Nothing but her looks, and talents of course. And I can tell by looking at you that you are a very talented female who has some gorgeous looks", the white female jabbered on. Her yellowed roamed over AshTail, searching her gray form for any unsightly formations, but found none.
"Oh, I know what you mean. I just love running about when hunting. It just makes me feel all good inside and what not", she continued. That was when she caught sight of the tortie colored tom padding outside the den adjacent to them. Again forgetting about her mud covered pelt, WhiteTalon put on one of her pretty faces, giving the poor soul a flattering look. "Well, good morning, RoseHaze."

"Noo." She said, shaking her head faster this time. Her face was still flushed by all the comments.. No one has called her pretty before, how was she suppose to take it? She smiled shyly at Whitetalon, "I have no talents.." She meowed, letting herself down even more. Who knows why she does it, Ashtail just can't take a compliment. Seeing Whitetalon look at another cat.. Her smile dropped, and she got up. No... Toms scare her the most, more than anything. But, it would be rude just to leave.. Ashtail took some steps back, then sat down a little farther. She did not want to talk to a tom.. They scare her.. But, she didn't want to leave a cat that was talking to her.

Rosehaze only truly noticed the she-cat because he had heard her voice just moments before, so he was aware of her presence. He glanced over at her with wide eyes and a small smile came to his muzzle. He looked up at the morning sky and then back down at the white-pelted she-cat. "Yes, it's a nice morning," he agreed with a twitch of his tail. Such a nice she-cat to come up and talk with him.
His gaze then turned over to a grey-pelted she-cat just a couple of tail-lengths away. Rosehaze momentarily wondered if she and the white she-cat had been speaking together. He could have swore he remembered two voices before. Or maybe he was just imagining things; that was the last thing he wanted to happen. Before he allowed his thoughts to carry him off again, he reminded himself to give a respectful nod in greeting to the grey she-cat that hadn't yet spoken to him. Did she seem scared? Why would she? Such a strange she-cat.
But he would perhaps think about that later. For now, he looked back to the white one, whose name he couldn't quite recall. With his low attention span, it was amazing he could remember anyone's name at all. White-something, wasn't it? "How are you?" he asked curiously, tilting his head just a bit to the side and his tail swished back and forth a few times behind him.

WhiteTalon flicked her mud speckled tail in the tom's direction before curling it neatly at her side. Her normally white paws where covered in the dark brown substance yet she was still unaware of it. "Oh, I'm great", she chirped, long whiskers twitching. "AshTail and I were just talking about how wonderful hunting was, weren't we?" She paused only a moment to glance at the nervous she-cat who now sat behind her. Then quickly brought her attention back to the molted tom.
"Do you like hunting", WhiteTalon mewed in her sweetly flirtatious voice, her yellowed gaze flashing. Then she shifted her weight, and suddenly felt the drying mud crack around her paws. Keeping her pretty smile, she slowly looked down at her mud slathered paws, her eyes wide with humiliation, before jerking her head back up to the tom. How could she forget about the mud!?

Ashtail sat quietly in the corner as she sat a couple of lengths away from them.. Her ears went down a little, as she stared down at the ground. It was starting to get nice.. But then he came. She heard her name in the conversation, than looked up. Ashtail motioned to open her mouth, but then snapped it shut and simply nodded.. Her gaze landed on Rosehaze, but then quickly went straight at the ground. Maybe she could sneak away while they were having a conversation?

Rosehaze twitched an ear as he felt a few mud droplets settle onto his fur and glanced down at where they had landed on his leg. He seemed almost fascinated with them and wondered where they had come from. Did someone step in some mud and flick some onto him? But then he noticed the mud on the white she-cat's pelt. He flicked his leg to the side to get the mud off and to be sure it wouldn't get back onto the she-cat and then took a few steps to the side, then a few steps back, unable to settle down.
The mud looked fresh so Rosehaze made the connection that perhaps the she-cat had been out recently. He remembered her name now to be Whitetalon. "You've been out recently," he stated, completely going over the question that she had asked him. "Were you hunting?" He thought her perhaps scented the fresh scent of a kill from prey, but he couldn't be sure. However, he was sure she had said something about her and the grey she-cat talking of hunting, so it made sense in his mind to assume that she had been hunting herself just a while before.
"Hunting birds is fun," Rosehaze commented as he lifted his eyes up to the sky. "Leaping up for them, too." The tom always did enjoy going after birds, especially jumping up for them right as they were trying to escape. He had slender legs that allowed him to leap for that prey. And he was never one to chase after his prey, such as the mice and reptiles; birds, for him, were easier to catch.

Ashtail watched there conversation go back and forth, and the pretty white she-cat fur still covered in mud. She watched the mud being flicked onto the tom, and giggled cutely. She stopped suddenly as soon as Ashtail had realized she let out a giggle infront of a tom.. What am I? A love-dove apprentice giggling over a tom? No! She thought bitterly as she shook her head at the thought. They seemed to be distracted by the conversation, so it would be the perfect time to sneak away. They wouldn't notice, after all Ashtail tends to be quite silent. Carefully getting up, she lifted her paws like feathers, making sure they wouldn't hear her leave. Wait. Why would they even care? After all, she is just the silent cat that no one pays attention to. Still, it was kinda fun to try and walk like your a feather. Carefully, she padded passed them, aiming for the Warriors Den to take a quick cat name.
