Ashtail is a shy cat, generally she doesn't really like the attention. She is beautiful, some toms do go after her, but she quickly runs away. She has a habit of running away from toms. It was probably caused by the fact that her mother told her that her father is an Airclan cat. She is afraid to fall in love and make her kits suffer. She doesn't want her heart to be hurt, so she tries to avoid all the romance and friends.. She wants friends so bad, but she keeps to herself, and sometimes talks to cats.

She is nice though. Under all the shyness, she is a cat who cares about everyone. If her clan-mates are in trouble, she does not care if Ashtail puts herself in danger, she will try to help them. Her ultimate fear is to lose someone again, that is why she tries her best to protect everyone without them knowing. There might be times she may snap at a cat, but that might be because she is either trying to help them, or save them from danger. There are cases they are just plan annoying though! Because of her urge to help others, it has caused her stubbornness. Her mother, Blazefeather says she gets it from her father. If a cat does not want help, she won't take no for an answer and may possibly snap at them.

Kit hood-
Ashkit was the type of cat that just sat in the corner and watched everyone. Her childhood was very lonely.. The kits stayed away from her, and she had no idea why. Maybe it was because no one knew who her father was? Either way, she sat in the nursery alone, doing nothing. She always asked her mother, Blazefeather who her father was. She never answered, and Ashkit's question was never answered. One day, she got close to one kit. Cloudkit. He was an orange tom with strange white marks all over him. Made him look funny, as Ashkit thought. He was the only cat that ever talked to her, or even tried to play with her! Soon, they were close.

Apprentice Hood -
Ashpaw did everything with Cloudpaw, and every other she-cat apprentice was jelouse. He was quite handsome, and everyone that was his age wanted him. But, no one could get near him just because she was there. Ashpaw was always bullied as an Apprentice, and Cloudpaw always had to step in. She felt ashamed that someone had to protect her from others.. But a warm feeling swirled in her chest every time it happened. She asked the Medicine cat what it was. He just said, "Love." No, that isn't possible. There is no way a shy, weak cat like herself can love.. Is it? If so, with you? As soon as she asked many questions, only one name popped in her mind. Cloudpaw. She had fallen in love with him.

Going out on a hunting patrol, with her, Cloudpaw and her mother. Blazefeather let them hunt alone, so they quickly dashed away, but in the same direction. Instead of hunting, they raced a bit! It was indeed fun, but it soon ended. Cloudpaw was in the lead, and quickly he dashed in a bush. Ashpaw followed, but quickly heard a scream. She ran as fast as she could, and quickly jumped the bush. There, she saw Cloudpaw. Worse, a badger staring straight at him. Before she could make a move, the badger clawed Cloudpaw straight at his side. There was a large cut on his neck, arm and belly.. Slamming straight into the wall, Ashpaw an towards him. His breath was slowing, Ashpaw needed to get him out of here before it was to late. The badger cornered them.. She had no choice. This was a suicide mission, but it needed to be done. Blazefeather would be here in no time after Cloudpaw screamed.
Ashpaw took the risk. She slammed straight into the badger, causing him to only move inches away, then tripping on a rock and falling on his back. It was lucky, but it wasn't to lucky. The badger quickly got up, the swiped at Ashpaw. He cut her right cheek, causing three lines under her eye. That was going to be a scar, and she knew it. Cloudpaw's injuries would also be a scar she presumed. Blazefeather came running out of know where, tackling the badger. It made a weird sound, and fled.. Ashpaw was already at his side, watching him, "He is going to be hunting with Starclan now." Her mother said, shaking her head.. No.. He can't die. It was to much! "I think this is the right time for you to know." What was she gunna say? Right when Cloudpaw died! What?
"Your father is a Airclan cat." Those words. Those single words made everything shatter. She was part Airclan? No! Ashpaw was Fireclan. No.. Not possible. She stood there, watching her mother pick up Cloudpaws body and slowly dragging him away...
Ashpaw vowed something. She vowed to never be hurt like she was today, "Don't get close with a tom, then you wont watch him disappear before your eyes." She had whispered those words in the wind, thinking a cat could catch it before it was to late for that cat as well.
