fur color, The base of his pelt is black in color with spots and flecks of orange that range from pale orange to deeper shades. There's a large patch of it that covers his jaw, front of his neck, and chest.

likes, Rosehaze enjoys to surround himself with friends and be around nice cats. He also enjoys staring up at the sky, watching a butterfly float on the breeze, watch a mouse scuttle across the forest floor....Just about anything that doesn't require a lot of focus.
dislikes, This tom hates to be on his own and will do anything he can to avoid it. He doesn't like to sit around all that much and will even have to pace around just to keep himself occupied.
strengths, Well, this tom certainly is perhaps the best when it comes to not paying attention. But he tends to see things that others would often not catch at first.
weaknesses, His attention span. It often takes a few times of repeating oneself before he'll even realize you're speaking to him. Why is that? Because this tom happens to have something similar to a human's ADHD, and a pretty extreme case of it, too.

overall personality, Rosehaze is very wishy-washy and so detatched from reality that he never seems to really notice what's going on around him. Most of the time he has a calm, relaxed look about his features as he drifts around in a cloud of his own thoughts. He's lost in his own world of a fantasy. Drag him down back to reality and he's only like a lost and frightened kit without a clue of what's going on. He has a terrible grasp of how things really are around him, and the few times he's seen reality face-to-face seemed to have been enough to scare him now to force himself to keep disconnected from real-life. But, at the same time, his often scares himself with his constant day-dreaming that can easily turn to nightmares and glances over his shoulder if his imagination gets worked-up. And there's no escaping its clutches for him.

overall history, At birth, the first-born kit of Berrysplash and Palefire was thought to be a female, and so the kit was given the name of 'Rosekit', for the flecks of color were a deeper color when it was young. However, much to the surprise of the mother and to the Clan, the tortoishell cat was seen to actually be male. However, Berrysplash refused to give the kit a new name, and so she loved it as much as her other two kits, Scarletkit and Specklekit.

Rosekit was always an odd one and it was amazing he was even able to survive kit-hood. His mother often had to force him to suckle since his mind would always be in another place, even soon after birth. Sometimes the medicine cat would come in to check on the strange kit but he seemed perfectly healthy aside from just not eating as normally as his siblings. And he seemed to try and wander off a lot at his young age and never responded often to his mother's mews. She thought he was deaf when he was still young and unable to speak.

As he grew older, Rosekit's true personality started to shine through. The kit was thought of to be mischevious since he often wandered throughout the camp and out of the nursery when Berrysplash didn't know it and was always dragged back to his mother as he mewled pitifully to be let go. It was clear that this kit was not one to sit still and his mother was constantly hovering over him to keep a good eye on him. His siblings usually ignored him since he never payed attention to their jokes and teases; he was constantly in a world of his own.

The day of his and his siblings' apprenticeship was a happy one for Berrysplash to see her kits grow into such fine cats--two of the three, anywho, and Rosepaw was the one that still hadn't grown out of his distant personality. The cat assigned to mentor him, Nightslash, was hesitant to take on such a strange cat as his first apprentice, but of course couldn't say no.

So, Rosepaw was taken under Nightslash's tutelage, though it's hard to say there was a lot of process. Nightslash constantly had to repeat himelf before Rosepaw would understand what he was saying or even notice the warrior was speaking. He was incredibly patient for the young tom and took his time with training Rosepaw, going over things carefully until he was certain the apprentice understood it. Rosepaw did do well when he actually focused down to earth, but those times were rare. He had so much potential and yet his lack of concentration prevented him from going very far.

When it came time for him and his siblings to be named warriors, Nightslash spoke with the leader to ask if Rosepaw's training could be extended. So only Scarletpaw and Specklepaw were made into warriors and Rosepaw continued training with Nightslash. The tom almost felt like a father to Rosepaw and felt protective of the apprentice; Rosepaw never had a father since Palefire was killed by a badger before the birth of his kits. Rosepaw almost felt a sort of connection with his mentor too, though it was hard to tell.

Rosepaw was roughly at the age of 20 moons by the time Nightslash went to the Clan leader to ask if Rosepaw could finally become a warrior. The leader agreed and so Rosepaw was named Rosehaze, a true warrior. Berrysplash was happy for her son and didn't mind it took him longer than his siblings, though his siblings continue to pester and tease him about it.

And so Rosehaze has managed along as a warrior, always carefully watched to be sure this strange tom won't go wandering off aimlessly into the territory.
